My Personal Health Journey

Healthy is not a goal, it's a way of living

I have struggled with weight all my life basically, there were times where I was in the best shape or worst shape of my life. However, going into college made everything so much worse.

Starting in middle school, I had joined the Cross Country team, we would run three miles five days a week. Needless to say, I was in the best shape of my life for the two years of middle school.

In high school, I did not join the Cross Country team...so I gained about weight, but I did not realize it. I still felt good about where I was at, I was still going to the gym and eating healthy. I was really unbothered about the weight that I had gained..until college.

After graduating high school, I spent the summer at Penn State, prior to the Fall semester, that is where my bad habits took hold and did not let go without a fight. Every dining hall has an "All you can eat" buffet, and not to mention the late nights studying and ordering pizza and the awkward sleeping habits.

I had gained almost 50 lbs, in the course of ONE YEAR...and it was extremely noticeable.
Now since being home for the summer I have been introduced to a new way of living. I have significantly cut out carbs from my diet...since doing that I have lost 22 lbs! And I am still losing weight!!

I go to the gym everyday and weigh myself every week, I want this page to be an inspiration to anyone and everyone that wants to lose weight. DO NOT feel discouraged no matter what.

Nobody can do it for you, you have to do it for yourself
